Be there - Nov 30
The line up is superb: Jimmy Barnes, Casey Donovan, Dave Hughes and Corinne Grant will be performing throughout the morning. We'll hear from union and political leaders about the campaign against the laws and thousands of ordinary Australians will have the opportunity to stand up against these unjust laws.
We'll start at the MCG and then move on to Federation Square where there'll be more entertainment and activities. The march route will be down Brunton Ave to Wellington Pde then Flinders St to Fed Square.
The Day's Events
There will be televised Sky Channel broadcast live from 9am to 10am to simultaneous rallies across
Australia.
The MCG Rally and national broadcast will include:
- Addresses from Brian Boyd, VTHC Secretary, ACTU President Sharan Burrow, ACTU Secretary Greg Combet and Kim Beazley, ALP Federal Opposition Leader. There will also be contributions from Steve Bracks and Cath Smith (VCOSS).

Entertainment from Jimmy Barnes and Casey Donovan and comedians Corinne Grant and Dave Hughes.
8.00am - 9.00am - Live entertainment and speakers at the MCG.
9.00am – Welcome from Brian Boyd, VTHC Secretary. Sharan Burrow and Greg Combet address MCG rally.
10.00am - National broadcast finishes.
10.00am to 10.15am - Jimmy Barnes continues to play for MCG crowd.
10.15am - March begins along Wellington Parade and Flinders St to
Federation Square for Victorian Trades Hall Rally.
10.45am - VTHC Rally at Federation Square begins.
11.45am - VTHC rally in city ends.
Thursday night is the final gig for the Young Unionists Network - Rock for Your Rights gigs and is the official post-rally after party. There'll be hip-hop and dance with curseovdialect and Pablo Discobar from 9pm at the Spanish Club in Fitzroy.
